Reiki & Healing
Reiki is the name given to a system of healing, reputedly rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early twentieth century.
The word Reiki consists of two kanji: Rei which means either spirit, soul or ghost and Ki which means energy. It is often referred to as the universal life force.
It is a very easy, simple and safe method to learn and can be used in a variety of ways including the healing on all levels (spiritual, mental, emotional and physical) of the self and all life forms. It is a wonderful tool to aid the development of the self and to help to harmonise and heal the world we live in.
Many people believe this is a part of the ancient system of healing utilised by Jesus and many other adepts.
Reiki is directed by the universal mind and does not require any special skills on the part of the channel or the recipient.
Its foundations lie in spiritual truths, not religious dogmas, and thus a Reiki Teacher does not require a formal teaching qualification or qualification in anatomy or physiology. Neither does the student. The concerns of a Reiki Master should be based on encouraging spiritual development as an integral part of the path to wholeness.
Often a student is guided to the Master most suited to their own individual needs and level of development by the student’s spiritual guides and if you are seeking a Reiki Master then you should be guided by what feels right for you.
