This one day workshop is aimed to attract absolute
beginners who may never have used or even thought of using clay or
of sculpting a head. This is an opportunity to acquire some basic
skills and knowledge about sculpting in clay as well as allowing your
imagination and creativity to run wild.
The day will begin with a short meditation to allow inhibitions
to be released and inspiration to take over! The meditation will
be guided and will connect to the Goddess Brighid, Goddess of inspiration
and creativity, although you may choose to sculpt your interpretation
of any of the goddess’.
It is expected that you will have completed a likeness of a head
by the end of the day and this can be fired after allowing time
for the drying process. The cost of firing is included in the cost
of the workshop but if you require the fired head to be posted to
you, this will incur an extra charge.
The workshop will start promptly at 10.00am with a flexible finishing
time, although it is expected that we should be finished between
5-6pm.
A light lunch will be provided but anyone with a particular dietary
requirement (e.g. gluten-free) should provide their own.
Places are strictly limited and early booking advised.
It is recommended that old and comfortable work clothes should
be worn as no responsibility for damage to clothes can be accepted.
