This course is designed to introduce participants
into the power of working with the feminine energy (also known as
The Goddess energy), to aid in the release of creative blocks, and
help to restore self-confidence, balance and harmony to the personality.
It can be very empowering and healing on many levels. The Goddess
energy is our connection to the natural world within which we live
and to the creative process both within ourselves and throughout
the physical universe. Understanding the process of creation and
interaction with it is the key to the future.
Working with the transformative power of meditation and creative
expression, it is particularly suitable for anyone who feels disconnected
from their roots, their creativity and their feminine essence and
is applicable to both men and women.
Although each workshop is complete within itself, the course is
designed as a journey of self discovery and empowerment, with each
day contributing to the whole.
In each workshop we connect to a different Goddess energy using
meditation, visualisation, words, pictures and sound to explore
the particular attributes represented by the Goddess archetype.
During the course you will learn how to create sacred space and
connect to the elemental powers, of which you are an integral part,
and begin to understand how these elements can influence the choices
you make. You will create your own works of art and writings from
the impressions received during the meditations.
The workbook, which accompanies the course, is included free of
charge for anyone who books and pays for all 8 workshops in advance
which also qualifies for a 10% discount. It is normally priced at
£7. 50
Day 1: January 15th 2005. We begin our course with the Greek Mother
Goddess Artemis Callisto , with whom we explore issues surrounding
freedom. Artemis is the archetype of a person who is their own
boss and answerable only to themselves. She is free to set her
own boundaries and create her own reality. She challenges us to
explore our boundaries and their appropriateness to our lives.
Day 2: February 19th 2005 On day 2 we meet Demeter, a Greek Earth
Mother with whom we explore issues surrounding abundance. Demeter
is the Goddess who always supplies the needs of her children,
also known as Corn Mother. She represents the fruits of our labour
and also the abundance that is ever available to us within the
world around us. You are an inexhaustible source of creative abundance
just waiting for you to draw forth and plant the seeds to create
your own harvest. Free yourself from the constraints that bind
you and come hunting with Demeter through the verdant forest
of your own power and creativity.
Day 3: April 16th 2005 Today we are working with the Celtic Fire
Goddess Brighid and the transformational qualities of fire to
burn through stuck areas and release new creative energy. Patroness
of poets and Blacksmiths, She inspires the Muse within us all,
helping to heal through the magic of words and form. Brighid
not only brings to your imagination the fire of inspiration but
implants within your soul and heart the passion and courage to
carry the ideas through into manifestation.
Day 4: June 4th 2005 Rhiannon, Mistress of the otherworld, rides
into our lives astride her white mare, creating confusion and
doubt in order that we can explore the world of dreams and intuition.
The rational mind can often overrule and inhibit our trust in
our intuition and belief in the existence of other realities.
The world of dreams can help us to explore our ambitions, fears,
feelings and thoughts and reconnect us to trusting the guidance
of our heart.
Day 5: July 16th 2005 A day when, metaphorically, we bathe in
the waters of the rivers, streams and lakes with Viviane, Lady
of the Lake and Guardian of Excalibur. A day to explore our emotions,
suppressed or expressed. Water represents the emotions and, just
like the ocean, our emotions are strongly influenced by the phases
of the moon. Learning to flow with these cycles, we can harness
the power of our subconscious and learn to swim within the stream
of universal life.
Day 6: September 3rd 2005 Above ground it may be summer but today
we venture into the subterranean home of the Celtic Triple Goddess,
Cerridwen, Guardian of the cauldron of rebirth and the womb from
which all is created. Exploring the darker side of our natures
is part of learning about the lighter side. By knowing who we
aren't, we learn who we are, or whom we choose to be. A day to
release the old and sow the seeds of new beginnings.
Day 7: October 8th 2005 Today we travel, in our meditation, to
Avalon, Isle of Apples and home to Morgan La Fay. Guardian of
the labyrinth and the heart chakra, She challenges all who seek
the Dragon's Gold- self- awareness and initiation into the ancient
mysteries. Helping us to release the illusions of the material
world She reconnects us to the wisdom of our soul and higher
self.
Day 8: November 12th 2005. Completion and Unity await us at the
end of our journey. In our final workshop we rest within the
gentle compassion of the Goddess Tara, the Goddess who guides
us towards our Destiny and inner peace. Connecting to the Universal
Mind, we explore the release of judgements, the practise of self-forgiveness
and embrace the concept of Wholeness - the power to be whom you
choose to be and allowing others to be whom they choose to be.
By the end of the course you will have created a collection of
prose and pictures which illustrate your thoughts and feelings about
these attributes and will have stepped further onto your own path
of creative potential.
Each workshop is £45 and includes light refreshments. Please
bring a packed lunch to share as this is an integral part of the
day. Please bring paper and pens and wear loose, comfortable clothing. All
workshops run from 10am until approximatley 5pm
Pre booking is essential as places are limited. A deposit of £20
per workshop booked is required or full payment at the discounted
rate of £324 for all eight workshops. |
